PLAY TRUE PILIPINAS: THE ROAD TO THE 5TH ASIAN PARA GAMES

Friday, September 11, 2026

The Philippine National Anti-Doping Organization (PHI-NADO) successfully concluded the “Play True Pilipinas: The Road to the 5th Asian Para Games”, an Anti-Doping Education Session for Team Philippines on September 8, 2026, at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila. The session brought together a total of 112 onsite and online participants, composed of Filipino para athletes, coaches, and athlete support personnel who are set to represent the country at the 5th Asian Para Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 in Japan.

Curated to equip the country’s top para athletes and their support teams with the necessary knowledge, awareness, and practical tools to compete clean, the program highlighted the importance of making informed and responsible decisions throughout an athlete’s competitive journey. Discussions covered key anti-doping principles, clean sport values, athlete rights and responsibilities, prohibited substances and methods, Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs), supplement risks, testing procedures, and the importance of maintaining a safe, clean and fair sporting environment.

Beyond preparing athletes for competition, the session reinforced that clean sport is a shared responsibility. Coaches, medical professionals, and other athlete support personnel play an essential role in helping athletes understand and uphold their anti-doping responsibilities, from training and recovery to competition and testing.

As Team Philippines prepares to take on Asia’s best in Aichi-Nagoya, PHI-NADO continues to emphasize that excellence in sport goes beyond medals. It is built on integrity, responsibility, and the commitment to compete with honor.

Play True. Play Clean. Play Fair.

It starts with YOU!
